Sherri Shepherd thought Kate Gosselin's wavy new 'do -- which she sported on The View for one day -- was "great."

"Our hairstylist did it for her and she was so open to a change," Shepherd, 42, said at Us' 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers party Wednesday night.

"It's like, 'You got rid of the weight of your husband, and now you're open to a change," Shepherd continued. "You go girl!"

The talk show's hair stylist Lavette Slater told Us she asked Gosselin, 34, if she could "expand on her already famous locks and try something new, fun and whimsical," before her Tuesday View appearance.

"Kate was excited and gave me carte blanche to experiment and create a new look," Slater said.

But the style didn't stick. By Wednesday, Gosselin was back to her spiky reverse mullet.

What is going on with the hairstyles? I have been looking at pics on here the styles do not fit the face. What is wrong with the star's? Can't they see it makes their face look to long and some need to be shorter to make the neck look longer. What happened to rules of a great style? What will make the client look their best?

I have a fantasy of having a fertility harem kid kabutz...but only after I own a farm and have enough time for another life. I'd like to get one of my kids to work for the town water dept.

    I found a great dating site________ M i l l i o n a i r e C h a t s . c o m ________. The best dating club for seeking the rich singles, sexy beauties. what's the most important is that you don't have to be a millionaire, but you can meet one. Charlie Sheen found his true love on that site in 2007.

I like either hairdo, I guess she feels she needs a to change her look to match the change in her life. Even more to the point, who seriously gives a crap what sherri shephard's opinion is about anything - truly an annoying woman.

kate gosselin's hair-do is cute, but her famous look, the choppy, edgy cut that she's worn now for some time is AWESOME... that look on her just plain ROCKS, i love it !!!! i hope she keeps it for many years to come. she's got a bajillion kids and her dopey husband left her... she could wear dreadlocks at this point and i'd say, 'you go, Kate'...

I like the hair, it's softer and she doesn't come off as"hard" as she does with the other 'do. I'd like to see this on her if she was going to a red carpet event and she needed to wear an evening gown.
