Seth Meyers: Amy Poehler's Newborn a "Happy, Beautiful Baby"

Amy Poehler's former SNL Weekend Update co-anchor Seth Meyers says the new mom "is doing well" days after welcoming son Archie.

"Shes got a healthy, happy, beautiful baby boy!" he told Usmagazine.com Tuesday at the Blackberry Bold launch party in NYC. "I'll see more of her soon. So busy with two shows a week [SNL and the Thursday SNL special] -- but soon, soon!"

Poehler and her husband Will Arnett greeted Archie this past Saturday. He weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz.

She won't be returning to SNL after maternity leave, she recently told Men's Vogue.

"It's gonna be really hard Boyz II Men hard to say goodbye to yesterday," she said. "SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down."

Next up: She has signed on for NBC's upcoming Office spin-off, set to air in 2009.
