LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Scarlett Johansson is an undeniable global superstar.

With dozens of films, and even a couple albums, under her belt, the 25-year-old Hollywood bombshell is certainly not lacking in exposure.

But unlike many of the starlets her age, Scarlett has largely managed to prevent herself from becoming a tabloid mainstay. So what's her secret?

"By not talking about my personal life!" she said in the new issue of Glamour magazine, which hits newsstands on October 6. "I think that makes a big difference. I go to work, I make movies, I publicize them. I hope people enjoy them. I'm not a relationship expert. I'm not a diet and health expert. I don't know anything except for movies, other than some Trivial Pursuit kind of information."

And while she admits she's no "relationship expert," she has certainly figured out how to make her own work, as she is loving life with husband Ryan Reynolds, whom she married in Vancouver, British Columbia on September 27, 2008.

Although the couple is preparing to celebrate their first anniversary as husband and wife, the "Iron Man 2" star said she's still getting used to the idea of people wanting to know about their wedded bliss.

"Yeah, it is weird, because I would never ask somebody about their marriage if I didn't know them. I don't profess to know anything about marriage that anybody else doesn't know, or how to make it right. I don't want to read about somebody who's giving me relationship advice. So I try to keep some things for myself, to have a private life. Because that's kind of all you have, really, isn't it?" she continued. "When it comes down to what separates you from the next person. You don't go to work and talk about your marriage. Why should I?"

But one topic Scarlett has no problem speaking out about is Hollywood's obsession with body image - a topic which she recently covered in an essay for The Huffington Post, where she lashed out at the tabloids for suggesting she had undergone an extreme regimen to get in shape for her "Iron Man 2" role.

"I was training for 'Iron Man 2,' which was a lot of work, full-on. I wanted to do a lot of my stunts and to be believable as this superspy, so I started getting fit and eating well and feeling really good," she told Glamour. "But then there was this rumor mill cranking out stories that I had lost 14 pounds -- I could never lose 14 pounds -- and was on some miracle diet. I just thought it was ridiculous. I was working my a** off, but I was doing it on my own terms and certainly through no miracle diet.

"I don't want to get caught up in that s**t.... I hate seeing these ridiculous articles where [tabloids] guess someone's weight. But they approach it as fact! I'm sick of it as a woman -- not just as a person on the other side of it. As a reader. I got fed up," she revealed. "I don't feel the obligation to be a specific weight. I don't feel like I have to fit into a body that's not my body. I have the body I have and I try to maintain it."

Never is Scarlett's comfort in her own skin more evident than when she lights up a red carpet. However, she admitted posing for the press is not something she enjoys doing to this day.

"I have a tumultuous relationship with it because I love to get ready for the red carpet, but being on it is very uncomfortable," she said. "It's so freakish and weird. I get flop sweats, dry mouth, heart palpitations, all over panic! I did this movie with John Travolta, and every time I looked over at John on the red carpet, he looked so fabulous. So I said to him, 'What do you do?' And he said, 'I go to Hawaii in my mind.'"

But is that advice the actress has put into play?

"I try to, but all I can see is a dark tunnel with a little white light at the end of it. And the little white light is finally getting into the theater and watching a movie," she noted.

In her Glamour magazine article, I found it very interesting that there were lots more photos of Scarlett cozying up to Pete Yorn than there were of Scarlett and her own husband,Ryan.I wonder if Scarlett and Pete are "collaborating" on more than just a bad album.....you all have to admit Scarlett and Pete looked REALLY cozy in their shoot for Glamour magazine.... and yet she clai

Sorry to say, sweet beautiful Scarlett but I do talk about my realtionship a teeny bit at work so do all those I work with..But surely if I were more private it would make it easier. Love this woman..love her curves and her heathly additude she is beautiful in every way a woman can be. It's refreshing to see someone in hollywood who not just another empty little sexpot.

Never really cared for her that much, but I like her attitude. Some of the other actresses need to stop trying to play nice with the media when its convenient and then play coy at other times. Just be real, draw a line, and don't let anyone cross it.

Scarlett is a cool gal. I'm happy she doesnt let the media bully her into that whole 'weight' game. She looks good and healthy, that's what matters.

Good for her for speaking up about a big issue in Hollywood and the media! If I were a starlet I know I'd get sick of seeing mags trying to guess my weight and point out my flaws. Like a person said before, at least it's not Megan Fox spouting out her neurotic crap on sexiness and fear of becoming OCD, blah, blah, blah!
