Sarah Jessica Parker might have some serious fashion cred - thanks to her multiple Vogue covers and role on "Sex and the City" - but her twin daughters with Matthew Broderick, Marion Loretta and Tabitha, don't listen to their mom when it comes to fashion.
"We tell them nothing," Parker told People of dressing the 3-year-old twins. "We just give them the temperature outside and if they don't pick enough clothing, then we say, 'You need leggings or pants. You need to add something so you'll be warm enough.' That's all they listen to."
The only thing they do like? Mom's Manolo Blahnik heels.
"They do try my high heels on, but they are forbidden to leave the house in them!" she joked.
Looks like Parker has some competition in the fashion department. Then again, many celebrity kids are turning into fashion savvy youngsters - after all, it's a lot easier to be on top of the trends when you have a celeb's income and access to top designers on a daily basis.
Suri Cruise - the only daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes - has a closet that most women would die to have. After all, she wore her first designer gown, a Georgio Armani Prive white dress, for her parents' wedding in 2006. These days, she's regularly spotted in everything from Burberry to mint green RayBan Wayfarers.
Even her Christmas list is full of fashion. According to InTouch Weekly, the 7-year-old's 2011 Christmas list included $15,000 diamond earrings.
But, she's not always worried about fashion.
"Recently, Suri and I were taking a walk and a fight got started because it was cold outside and she didn't want to wear her coat," she told InStyle in 2011. "My philosophy is, well, fine, because after a block of walking you're going to ask me for your coat."
Mom still knows best!
Willow Smith and Jaden Smith - the daughter and son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith - are known for their colorful wardrobes and eclectic hairstyles.
And why not? Pinkett-Smith believes in letting her kids express themselves, no matter their age.
"Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair," she said in a November 2012 blog post over the criticism of the 12-year-old's buzz cut. "Even little girls should not be a slave to the preconceived ideas of what a culture believes a little girl should be."
Matilda Ledger - the daughter of Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger - is always spotted mixing prints and generally just looks adorable, but there's one thing she definitely doesn't like: Her mom's short hair.
"What Matilda would love is for her mom to grow out the cropped hair, though that's unlikely to happen any time soon," she told Elle U.K. in 2011, adding that she wore it as a memorial to her late ex-boyfriend. "I cut it for the one straight man who has ever liked short hair."
She should be thrilled that mom is finally growing out her hair!
