Moviegoers said "I do" to Sandra Bullock's latest romantic comedy The Proposal over the weekend.

The movie, costarring Ryan Reynolds, earned $34.1 million, claiming the No.1 box office spot. (It is the biggest opening ever for Bullock.)

"I think the market was ready for a really fun, broad romantic comedy," Mark Zoradi, president of Disney's motion-picture group, told The Associated Press.

The film managed to knock Bradley Cooper's bachelor-party comedy The Hangover to No. 2, with $26.9 million, after weeks in the top slot.

No. 3: Disney's animated adventure Up, which took in $21.3 million, while the new caveman comedy Year One, with Jack Black and Michael Cera, debuted at No. 4, with $20.2 million. The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 earned $11.3 million, rounding out the top five.

    I like Sandra Bullock's cheerful upbeat attitude toward life. You can see it in the interviews she gives, but also in this picture. Hard to believe she's 40-something. She looks great.

    StelHrseRyder... can I ask.. where do you see Jennifer Aniston mentioned in this article? I really don't understand why you feel the need to bring her up. Leave the poor woman alone, she's doing just fine financially.. probably much better than you and that's all she needs.
