Britney Spears ' one-time manager,
Sam Lutfi denied harassing the pop star, who has him under a temporary restraining order -- one in which her camp is pushing to make permanent.
Attorneys for Spears obtained the original order against Lutfi -- as well as her ex-boyfriend
Adnan Ghalib and lawyer Jon Eardley -- on Jan. 31. L.A. Superior Court Judge Aviva K. Bobb granted the temporary order against Lutfi on the grounds that he had text and telephone communications with Spears and her hairstylist.
See how Britney spent 2008!The judge met with attorneys from both camps Monday to determine whether to extend the order, but no formal decision was made. She kept the orders in place and postponed her decision until Wednesday. Britney's father, Jamie, testified Monday due to scheduling conflicts.
Lutfi, who opposes the permanent stay-away order, says that he did not initiate any direct communication with Spears -- purportedly contrary to Jamie's testimony.
Look back on all the guys Britney has hooked up with."Any communication Lutfi purportedly had with Britney were conveyed by and between Lutfi and Britney through others, including, without limitation, Mr. Ghalib," stated court papers filed by Lutfi's attorneys.
Further, he maintained that in what communications did exist, none were aggressive.
"I have not, in any alleged communications with Britney, her hairdresser or any other person, threatened any act of violence against Britney or her family," Lutfi said in a sworn declaration.

Lutfi said he called Jamie to set up a meeting to discuss the "CityGaline310" messages. Jamie told him such a conversation would have to take place with his daughter's lawyer, Blair Berk, present, according to Lutfi.
Lutfi sued Spears earlier this month for alleged unpaid management fees and her mother, Lynne, for defamation. He is suing Jamie Spears for battery, NBC reports.
