Ryan Gosling sings ‘When a Man Loves a Woman,’ dances in never-before-seen 1991 video

Ryan Gosling may be a heartbreaker now, but he was making the ladies go crazy all the way back in 1991 when he was just 10 years old. An old video of the “Drive” actor singing and dancing at a talent  show at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Cornwall, Ontario, has been uncovered – and it was two years before he became a star on Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Club” along with Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears. omg! spoke to Gary Saldivia, whose family owns the amazing footage, and he gave us the backstory ... but we'll get to that after you enjoy the video -- and Gosling's sweet moves!

The three-and-a-half minute clip starts out with Gosling, now 31, singing the ‘60s classic, “When a Man Loves a Woman,” which regained popularity at the time when Michael Bolton covered it. Dressed in a red-and-blue silk shirt and black MC Hammer-style pants, the blond cutie works the stage like a pro as he gives the crowd an emotional performance. Gosling is then joined onstage by his older sister Mandi, who

(aside from a skirt) is dressed in the same outfit as her brother, and the two launch into a choreographed number of C&C Music Factory’s “Everybody Dance Now” complete with ‘90s dance moves like the Roger Rabbit. Young Gosling is clearly eating up all the attention from the crowd as he lip-synchs the words to the hit tune. After he and his sister are through with their performance, the curtain falls and the future movie star pokes his head out for one more round of applause.

Cornwall native Saldivia, who grew up with Gosling and attended the same church, recently found a tape of the forgotten treasure, which was recorded by his father, while going through old family belongings. “It was collecting dust in the garage,” he tells omg!. “[Gosling] had some moves even as a kid!” But performing wasn’t the future star’s only pastime. “He liked to play basketball in the inside one-sided court [at church],” adds Saldivia. “And he used to always carry around Bubblicious bubble gum and give me some.”

Gosling has often talked about his Mormon upbringing by a single mother and how he and Mandi, who is four years older, would perform in local talent shows and at weddings. “We would sing ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’ to the bride,” he told Interview magazine in 2010. “We’d do it right before the garter ceremony. While the bride was sitting on the chair, I would get down on my knees and sing the song, and then my sister would sing another song, and then together we would sing ‘Old Time Rock & Roll.’ Then sometimes if we were really killing it, I’d sing ‘Runaround Sue.’”
