Rosie O'Donnell Takes Aim At Sarah Palin, Compares Her To 'View's' Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Access Hollywood - September 11, 2008 7:12 PM PDT

NEW YORK, NY -- Rosie O'Donnell has taken aim at Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, comparing her to a former co-worker and questioning the Alaskan Governor's decision to run for office in light of her recent family issues.

In a host of responses to questions from readers on her "Ask Ro" blog, the vocal star compared the candidate to her former "View" co-panelist, conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

"sarah p - elisabeth h / identical cousins," O'Donnell reportedly blogged on Saturday. "women who hunt in high heels / gives one pause."

When asked if she believes "Palin is genuine," by reader Kim, O'Donnell continued her Hasselbeck-Palin connection.

"what u see is what u get with her / she reminds me of eh," she wrote.

O'Donnell went beyond just comparing the two women, calling into question the Governor's decision to run for vice president when, among other things, Palin's 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, is only months away from giving birth.

"I work for Sarah Palin and cannot tell you how down to earth this lady is! I am [proud] and so is the rest of Alaska that she was chosen," Heather, a Rosie.com reader wrote.

"if i were her - and i am not / i would have said no [if] I [had] a newborn son and a pregnant teen," O'Donnell responded.

But it wasn't just Palin with whom O'Donnell expressed her disappointment. She admitted that while she supports Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, she was upset he did not choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

"i think he blew it / by not choosing hrc / 18 million votes - come on," she noted.

In related news, Pamela Anderson also spoke out over Palin as a candidate.

When asked by E! News what she thought of the woman who has been pictured next to a moose she had killed, and who has a penchant for hunting, Anderson, a longtime PETA activist said, "Ugh! I can't stand her. She can suck it! Quote me!"

Palin will appear on ABC's "World News Tonight With Charlie Gibson" beginning tonight. Gibson will conduct three interviews with the candidate, her first since being selected as McCain's running mate. Highlights from Gibson's interviews will also air on "Good Morning America," "Nightline" and "20/20."

That pig has no room to talk she is as discussting as Roseanne who admits being a ho and selling herself for $25 before she became famous. $25 ? I would have charged her $1,000,000. As far as Obama ! He admits he is a muslim on a tv interview. Refuses to call terrorist , terrorist , intentionally bakrupting the USA for decades, we owe China ! They own over 10% of the U.S. Now u all voted him in.

Vote McCain/Palin & the USA will be as safe & prosperous as ever. Your taxes won't be raised. Business folk can continue on without layoffs & our economy will flourish! A vote for Obama is one for higher taxes, poor security, smaller military, bigger govt. Shame on the Dems!

Hasselbeck & Palin have to quell the minds of the malcontents. They are smarter than the Dems. People like Rosie & Pam are loud-mouthed losers that put their flimsy opinions before praising their country. Their abject opinion of our country is as sick as ever. Hollywood loons!

Not everyone hates Elisabeth. In fact, people who share in her moral and ethical beliefs love her. Joy Behar comes across as a bitter, hateful liberal - like so many others.

Sarah Palin and Elisabeth H. are not only far from being trailer park trash but are intelligent and classy women. You can disagree with their politics but to be so low as to name call only means that you don't know what the real issues are. Believe all the charismatic bs coming from BO and this whole country will go down the tubes if he is elected.

Oh, by the way, if Palin & Hasselbeck were Dems. & handed out all the free things that Dems. demand & expect, many more would respect them. Fortunately, they live in the real world without Obama-style freebies to be given away. Raising taxes to support outsiders isn't American!

The Dems. usually are the party that give the handouts. Obama wants to institute a welfare program for all the losers that have really never worked & earned their share of anything. That means that my hard earned(& others)$ will go to one with 10 kids. Read: birth control. UGH!
