Rosie O'Donnell Offers Axed "Idol" Danny Noriega Gig On Gay Cruise

By Access HollywoodMarch 10, 2008, 12:47 pm PDT

When a contestant is voted off "American Idol," some find ways to star on Broadway, maybe television, and some even go on to win an Oscar. What does the future hold for recent "Idol" castoff Danny Noriega? Possibly a gay family cruise, if Rosie O'Donnell's has anything to do with it!

Rosie posted a video blog on her Web site asking Danny to join her R Family cruise next week.

"I don't know if you have to sit around the 'American Idol' studio and, like, look sad for the next few weeks," says Rosie in the video, "but a week from tomorrow, an R Family Cruise is leaving from San Diego for Cabo San Lucas. So, Danny Noriega, you've got a free cruise. You and a friend."

Danny, who received over-flowing praise from judge Paula Abdul for his unique flair, was sent home after his performance of Soft Cell's "Tainted Love," but Rosie was far from tainted by his performance.

"I want you to sing 'Tainted Love,' and I think you're fantastic. I think you're a bold and brave and beautiful young man. I admire you, Danny Noriega, and you have an amazing voice," Rosie says.

If Danny Noriega takes Rosie up on her offer, he'll join the ranks of performers that include Cyndi Lauper and Kathy Griffin, who have previously appeared on Rosie's R Family Cruise.

Rosie and Dan, who really cares, they are flakes we can do without. My life, your life will not be better off, with or without them. Why waste the time the worry about what they are doing, let alone waste the time listing what they and rest of the Gay and Lebo crowd are doing. Just hope they will go away

Danny this is a chance of a lifetime. Rosie cares about the underdog and you can tell by people that might not be on the A-list that if she sees something in you she supports you to the end. No matter what pursue your dreams and give it your all.

A gay cruise? Isn't that redundant? If the cruise ship is as big as Rosie, he may have a bigger audience than the one on "Idol"!!! Queers to you, all aboard!
