Rome's Ciaran Hinds Joins Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is hailing Caesar.

Ciaran Hinds, who portrayed Rome's ambitious tyrant, has joined the cast of the HBO drama in Season 3, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Entertainment Weekly first reported the news.

Hinds will portray Mance Rayder, a former wilding child who joined the ranks of the Night's Watch. He later abandoned his post and became the leader of the wildlings, who call him the King Beyond the Wall. The wildings captured Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and were taking him to meet Rayder at the end of Season 2.

Hinds, who currently stars in USA's Political Animals, is also well-known for his roles in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Munich.

Game of Thrones is currently shooting Season 3, which will premiere on March 31, 2013 on HBO.
