PAM STAYS OUT OF IT: While speaking with Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show yesterday, Pamela Anderson said she didn't witness the VMA fight between her exes, Kid Rock and Tommy Lee. "As soon as I left, they went after each other...I'm staying out of it." When asked why they fought, Pam said, "I don't really know." But Pam has a new man to focus on: an unnamed professional poker player. "We're in love. This is nice," she said.

PERSONAL PACT: Actor Stuart Townsend told PEOPLE that he and longtime love Charlize Theron are "married," though not in the legal sense. "We didn't have a ceremony," he reportedly said. "I don't need a certificate or the state or the church to say otherwise... but we are married. ... I consider her my wife and she considers me her husband."

PINING DAD: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady told SPORTS ILLUSTRATED that he wishes he could be in LA with his (and ex, Bridget Moynahan's) new baby son more. "I'd love to be out there all the time, year-round, but it's hard to make that a reality," he reportedly said. "I'll start lobbying for off days throughout the year."

LIVING SINGLE: Newly-single Heath Ledger is the subject of two reports alleging that he's on the dating scene. THE NY POST's PAGE SIX reports that he's been spotted "all over town" with supermodel Helena Christensen, while the NY DAILY NEWS' RUSH & MOLLOY claim that the actor was chatting up David Blaine's date at the "Eastern Promises" screening party in NYC. However, the woman reportedly later told a party guest, "No one picks me up! I don't even know who that was."

CANCELED STRIPES: The White Stripes have canceled six dates on their U.S. tour because Meg White is "suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time." A statement on the band's Web site says, "The White Stripes sincerely apologize to their fans ... We hate to let people down and are very sorry."

FINAL FAREWELL: And finally, "The Sopranos" is getting a special tribute at Sunday's Emmy Awards, courtesy of the cast of Broadway's "The Jersey Boys." Emmy executive producer Ken Ehrlich said in a release, "The cast of Broadway's hottest show will honor the other Jersey boys with a musical send-off featuring songs from the Jersey Boys' score."
