LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans!

Emma Watson - More Magical Than Hermione!: She might play a young witch who is born of Muggle parents in "Harry Potter," but according to Ancestry.com, Emma Watson has a distant relative who was an actual witch - or at least a woman convicted of witchcraft. According to the family roots-tracing Web site, Emma is a distant relative of Joan Playle of Essex County, England, who was convicted of witchcraft in 1592 and kicked out of the Church of England. We're glad to see that witches - and the young ladies who play them on the big screen - are cast in a better light in 2009.

This young woman has a bright future in this business. As long as she stay away from people like, Lindsy Lohan, Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, etc. She will be fine.

LadyGT350, Witchcraft does NOT glorify Satan. It has nothing to do with him! As a Wiccan (raised Catholic), I am offended by your comment. I believe in God, Jesus, and Mary just as you do. We just give them different names. Do some research and get your facts straight before you judge.

Witches are not cast in a better light by anyone with any moral fiber. Those who practice religions glorifying Satan are not usually accepted by most people.
