LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- A plane carrying rocker Scott Weiland was diverted after the solo artist and Stone Temple Pilots frontman suffered a seizure on Friday, a source close to the star confirmed to Access Hollywood.
Scott was on his way to Miami from Los Angeles when the seizure occurred, forcing the American Airlines flight to make an emergency landing in Texas, at the Dallas Forth Worth International Airport.

The rocker, who the source told Access has a history of seizures, was hospitalized as a precaution. However, he still intends to attend the launch of his clothing line, Weiland for English Laundry, on Saturday, where he is scheduled to perform.
Scott also played a free show at LA's The Roxy on September 9 in promotion of his new line and performed recently in Las Vegas to support the brand.
