LONDON, England (July 18, 2007) -- They tried to make him go to rehab, but British rocker and modelizer Pete Doherty said no, no, no -- this week anyway.

The frontman for the British band Babyshambles, who was dating fashion icon Kate Moss until their recent split earlier this month, was ordered into rehab by August 7 by a London Judge. The court ordered the rocker, who for years has suffered problems with substance abuse, to a treatment facility last week after Doherty plead guilty to charges of possession stemming from May.

According to The Sun, Doherty checked in to the Detox 5 clinic in Yorkshire, England on Sunday night, but checked out reportedly five minutes after walking into the clinic.

Luckily for Pete, not checking into a rehab facility won't hurt him at present. He has until next month to officially enter a program.

"Pete has been in Harrogate, but I believe he is back in London," Doherty's lawyer Sean Curran told the Daily Mail. He added Doherty is expected to check into rehab officially, this coming Monday.

According to British reports, despite the end of their romance, Mossplans to foot the bill for an anti-drug implant for Doherty, expected to cost $30,000. He has previously had at least two devices fitted in his attempt to stay off drugs including crack and heroin.

The bandleader recently released "The Books Of Albion: The Collected Writings of Pete Doherty," in the UK last month. He has also finished work on a new Babyshambles record. Capitol, his label, is expected to give the disc a stateside home after signing a deal with Doherty in recent months.
