The actor, who is best known for his role on Lipstick Jungle, will join the cast of the CW series, The Hollywood Reporter reports Thursday.
The addition of Buckley, 28, comes after the recent departure of two original cast members, Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton.

In the series, which enters its seventh season this fall, Buckley will play Clayton, a brash young sports agent who represents Nathan Scott (played by James Lafferty). Throughout the season, Clayton will become a close friend, business partner and advisor to him.
Brian Austin Green was in talks for the role early on, but a deal was not reached.

When NBC canceled Lipstick Jungle -- in which Buckley played Kirby Atwood, who had an affair with Kim Raver's character -- after two seasons, Buckley appeared in multiple episodes of another CW series, Privileged, which has also been canceled.

FARHUH!! I watched One Tree Hill since my six grade! I love the show. It's one of my Fave show! You people are right,they must have lost their minds for letting Chad go.. I love Chad Michael Murray!! How could this happen??
