Robert Pattinson is said to be finally speaking with Kristen Stewart again. The "Twilight" couple has been dealing with the painful aftermath of their very public cheating scandal. Apparently, Kristen has been flooding Rob with "tearful" text messages. She also issued an apology statement, calling her dalliances with married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders "a momentary indiscretion."
Nonetheless, the fallout from the affair continues. After three years as a couple, RobSten is no longer living together. Sanders' wife Liberty Ross took a social media stab at Kristen, supposedly posting a drunken Snow White with the caption, "Not so pretty or so pure after all." Ross, who plays mom to Kristen's Snow White character in the film, also retweeted, "Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." She then deleted her twitter account.
The situation remains bleak. It seems that even Kristen's own parents are not taking her side in this one. The "Twilight" movie team is most likely very concerned about how this personal drama will affect the final film in the series. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Rob on the other hand has plenty of support. The British actor is healing from his emotional wounds at Reese Witherspoon's vacation home. Reese's sprawling ranch is located in Ojai, California. Rob reportedly feels like he has had his "heart ripped out." A source close to the situation says that Edward Cullen's doppelganger is "questioning everything" and is understandably "a total mess."
Well, it certainly helps to have friends. Rob and Reese met on the set of "Water For Elephants." Witherspoon played Marlena Rosenbluth to Pattinson's Jacob Jankowski.
Reese has also had her share of public relationships and breakups. After her marriage to Ryan Phillippe crashed, she gave it a go with hunky Jake Gyllenhaal. Reese finally found happiness with her current hubbie, Jim Toth. The two were married in 2011 on the very estate that Rob is currently using for shelter.
The "Legally Blonde" actress once said that moving on after lost love is the best thing. Her words read like great advice to her hurting pal Rob. On finally finding happiness Reese said, "I don't feel bad about any of the things I've gone through, whether it's divorce or breakups or anything like that, because that's all part of the life journey, and I have those experiences just like anyone else. And I think it deepens what you tap into creatively." Well said, Reese.
So what do you think? Any advice for heartbroken Rob?
