Lee Thompson Young, a star of TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles," has died, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
Authorities found the body of the 29-year-old actor at his apartment around 8 AM on Monday morning.
"It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning," Young's long time manager Jonathan Baruch, said in a statement to Access . "Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends [at] this very difficult time."
Young played Detective Barry Frost, who worked with Angie Harmon's Detective Rizzoli, on solving cases on the TNT drama.
Executive Producer Janet Tamaro shared the grief of the "Rizzoli & Isles" cast and crew in a series of Tweets on Monday.
"We are all without the words to truly express our collective grief and profound sadness at the loss of such a sweet, bright light," Tamaro wrote.
"We are broken-hearted. #RIPLeeThompsonYoung," she added.
Just last week, TNT greenlit "Rizzoli & Isles" for a fifth season.
