Report: Mischa Barton To Accept Plea Deal In DUI Case
By Access HollywoodApril 7, 2008, 8:42 pm PDTLOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Mischa Barton is planning to accept a plea deal in her December 2007 DUI case, People reported.
Barton is expected to plead no contest when she is arraigned this Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif., a source told People.
She is expected to serve probation for three years, unsupervised, the source said.

Like several starlets before her, Barton is expected to receive a sentence, which includes a three-month alcohol abuse education class, and the charge of marijuana possession against the star will be dropped. A charge of driving without a license will be lowered to an infraction.
Additionally, the judge will order her to pay a fine of around $1,700, People reported.

When contacted by People, a spokesperson for the LA District Attorney would not comment on the matter.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Barton was charged with four criminal counts related to a DUI arrest in December of last year.

Barton was arrested on December 26, 2007.
Barton was charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, one misdemeanor count of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher, one count of being an unlicensed driver and one count of possession of marijuana (28.5 grams or less).

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies pulled over a vehicle, driven by Barton, after they saw her car "straddling two lanes of traffic." Barton also reportedly did not signal when making a turn.
Barton was then detained and authorities said during that period they determined she was an unlicensed driver. The LA Sheriff's Department also said during their detention of the former "OC" star, Barton appeared to have driven while under the influence of alcohol.
She was arrested and booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's station without incident.
