LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jessica Simpson's hair stylist, Ken Paves, was injured in an encounter with paparazzi while leaving a Los Angeles restaurant late Saturday night, according to E! Online.

Jessica and Ken were reportedly leaving Madeo with another male friend when they were swarmed by a group of photographers, one of whom allegedly hit Ken near his eye with a camera.

"There were so many paparazzi waiting for Jessica and trying to get a picture of her that they all started pushing," a source on the scene told E! "Jessica was ducking down and Ken Paves and her other male friend were trying to cover her and that's when Ken was hit in the face with a camera."

The pair reportedly made it to their car, where Ken realized he was bleeding.

"Blood was running down his nose when he was in the car," another source told E! "I guess that's when Jess and the driver realized Ken might need to get stitches."

They were reportedly driven straight to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where they remained as of 1:15 AM on Sunday morning.

Access Hollywood has reached out to the LAPD and Jessica's reps for further information.

    I LOVE YOU KEN.... Ken Paves did my hair before and I loved it. He know that he can work it. I would allow him to do my hair anytime. I trust him he is good at what he does.

    So I don't understand this if it was a paparazzi that was hit they be calling for someone to go to jail that the problem !! There needs to be big repercussion on the %@!*#s who hurt pepole just to get a picture. Da remember Diana . If I was there I'd be in big trouble I HATE Paparazzi.
