The two are expected to play two Chicago cops in drama "A Steady Rain." The play sees their friendship tested.

The play will be a return to the Broadway stage for Hugh, who has hosted several Tony Awards and has an extensive theater background. He won a Tony for starring in the 2004 musical "The Boy From Oz."

"A Steady Rain" will mark Daniel's Broadway debut.

Barbara Broccoli, the daughter of "Bond" producer Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli, is set to produce the play, the paper reported. She has worked in the "Bond" franchise for most of her adult life and recently produced "Casino Royale," and "Quantum of Solace."
