Chris Brown is returning to the Grammy Awards stage, according to The Associated Press.

The 22-year-old Brown, who's nominated for three awards, is scheduled to perform and attend the show for the first time since his attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He was later charged with felony assault and making criminal threats and took a plea deal of community labor and five years' probation. A year ago, Rihanna's restraining order against the singer was reduced.

Rihanna will also attend the ceremony as a performer and nominee in four categories, including album of the year.

The 54th annual event, hosted by LL Cool J, airs live on Sunday at 8/7c on CBS.

As fan of Chris Brown this is good news. People will hate him 4 life 4 past deeds, there are people who never cared for him too -- no matter, this young man is moving on. Is past time
press did the same, and stop pumping hate into potential or current fans.

EVERYONE makes mistakes and EVERYONE wants a second change to correct them! This man has served his time, apologized, and has moved on; its time leave his past issues in the past. Chris Brown has my support, looking forward to his performance.

What a talented young man, I cannot wait to check it out, in fact, his performance will probably be the highlight of this otherwise boring show..

Some of you people are to much.....Yes it was horrific what he did, but has it ever crossed your minds that people have the capacity to change? I for one hope that he has. As for his talent, I can't think of anyone that has the dance moves he does, other than MJ, but he has left us......
      • finbread 3 months ago
yeah, his dance moves just makes him soooooo good..hope you never get a punch in the face like he delivers..and no they don't change..it becomes a natural reflex if any woman says something wrong, she gets it..not a man because he is a coward and might get HIS face bashed in. He needs all those hangers on to protect his sorry #$%$

My whole problem with this kid is how arrogant and non-apologetic he has been since the beating incident. I think he needs to act more like a responsible adult rather than a spoiled kid who doesn't get his way.

@Finbread.....You are showing your ignorance. The problem with people like you is that you can't think outside the box. Unless you have worked with people that have been victimized, or are the abusers, save it. Do I know if Chris Brown has changed? No, but he is quite capable of that, as are many others......It is being open to acknowledging the behaviour, getting the proper supports, and then moving forward......Get it? , Never mind......

I'm glad he is performing! Yes people still don't like what he did and the outburst he had at Goodmorning America, but he always brings a good performance no matter what! Come on you know Rihanna and Chris still see each other! There are photos everywhere! Just like Rihanna having a look-a-like Chris Brown in her video! Think about it!

what does your personal life have to do with your professional life. god forgave us for our sins so why can't we forgive others for theirs. who are we to judge? The Grammy's awards people for their musical ability not for their messed up or personal lives.

Sad excuse for a human being. He should still be in jail for what he did to Rihanna. Shame on the Grammy's or anyone that supports this #$%$
