NEW YORK, New York -- A rep for Oprah Winfrey has said the TV queen will announce by year's end if she will make a leap from her current daytime talk show to her previously announced cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), Access Hollywood has learned.

On Friday, a rep for HARPO told Access, "She has not made a decision yet. As she has previously stated, she'll be making an announcement before the end of the year."

The response was prompted following a report on Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily blog on Thursday morning claiming that Oprah and Discovery were planning to announce that OWN would finally launch in early 2011.

Finke also claimed Oprah is set to announce the end of her CBS Televsion Distribution syndicated talk show, "The Oprah Winfrey Show," in Chicago and relocate it to OWN and to Los Angeles in 2011 as a flagship show for the new network.

According to Reuters, OWN declined to comment on the latest rumors, while CBS said they would love to have "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on for as long as the host wants to continue doing the show.

"The decision is Oprah's to make. As we have stated repeatedly, we love Oprah and if she wants to continue her show then we want to continue to be in business with her," CBS said in a statement to the news network.

ABC, which airs the program in local networks, had no comment when contacted by Reuters.

Personally, I'd be relieved to see her move to her own network. That would mean that our local station would have to find something of real quality to fill her time slot. Oprah's time, in my opinion, is long past. Put the MOOOO out to pasture where she belongs--and maybe improve the quality of television as a result.

For the life of me I cannot see why ANYONE watches her or listens to her. Her opinion is no different than mine or yours, it is just there are a lot of SHEEP in this country. Look at this last election... people stood in line to exchange their votes for handouts. Sad what this country has become... fat, lazy and easily distracted.

Jesus is the only way to heaven. Bible tells me so. oprah is leading people away from Truth & into an eternal hell. I like the idea of oprah going to cable gets her in front of less people that she can influence. I pray that she might find the Truth & tell people Truth instead of lies. She said on her show, there can't only be one way-well my friends that smells like smoke

"GOD has profoundly given us all talents, what are we donig with ours? We should never be jealous of anyone and what they have, because "GOD" has no respect of persons. Let's pray one for another and watch what we could do!!! There will always be small minded people that use race as an excuse. If you've been white all your life, you need not complain.

My girls and I have a dream of spending time together in Chicago just to see your show.. Please don't move to L.A. Oprah!! I don't have enough gas money for that trip!

I would still like to make the two hour drive to go to the show where she is...If she goes to LA, I'll never make it. I think there will be a loss of connectedness if she moves. She can afford to go back and forth to LA. Her show has been a push to be inclusive of the Midwest, and if she leaves, it will take away from that extra something that being based in Chicago gives.
