Howard Stern's presence didn't do much to boost America's Got Talent's ratings.

Monday's Season 7 premiere, featuring the shock jock as a new judge, pulled in 10.3 million viewers and a 3.6 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic — down from the 4.2 it earned last year. However, last season premiered after sweeps, avoiding finale competition from other networks. Smash closed out its first season to 6 million viewers and a 1.8, on par with last week.

CBS topped the night in the demo, thanks to the season finales of How I Met Your Mother (8.5 million, 3.6), Two and a Half Men (11.3 million, 3.8), Mike & Molly (11.63 million, 3.3) and Hawaii Five-0 (11.3 million, 2.7). All were either up or flat.

ABC took the night in viewership with Dancing with the Stars (14.7 million, 2.4) and the season premiere of The Bachelorette (9.3 million, 2.6), which was down a bit from last year's opener.

On Fox, Bones, which aired its season finale, was even with 7 million viewers and a 1.9, while the penultimate episode of House (6.45 million, 2.2) improved from last week.

The season finales of Gossip Girl (1.17million, 0.6) and Hart of Dixie (1.53 million, 0.6) were up and even, respectively.
