'Punisher' Star Thomas Jane Charged With DUI

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Actor Thomas Jane was arrested early Monday morning on DUI charges, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

A spokesperson for California Highway Patrol confirmed the star of "The Punisher" was stopped for speeding on Interstate 5 in Kern County, Calif., just north of the city of Buttonwillow, at 2:43 AM on Monday.

TMZ.com was the first outlet to report his arrest.

Jane, whose real name is Thomas Elliot, was booked on three charges - driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol level higher than .08 percent and drug possession without a prescription.

An arraignment has been set for April 9. Jane was released with a promise to appear.

Jane is married to "Medium" star Patricia Arquette.

His film credits also include "The Mist," "Magnolia" and "The Thin Red Line."

He also appeared in two episodes of "Medium" in 2006 alongside Arquette.
