Princess Victoria Gives Birth to a New Little Princess: Who Will Be the Next to Deliver a Royal Newborn?

    Princess Victoria

In the wee hours of the morning on February 23, Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria gave birth to a new little princess. Prince Daniel, the precious newborn's father said his daughter came into the world at 04:26 local time, weighing a healthy seven pounds. During a news conference, the prince remarked, "My feelings are a little bit all over the place," he added, "The crown princess feels brilliant, she is so happy and everything has gone very well."

While everyone is probably wondering what name the special infant will be given, we'll have to wait until Friday or Saturday to find out what she'll be called. The king will make the announcement during a cabinet meeting which is expected to take place on either day.

Victoria is next in line to the throne, and her daughter becomes the second in line. The BBC reports that it is the first royal birth since Victoria's sister, Madeleine, was born in 1982 and the first grandchild for the king and queen.

With the talk of babies and royalty, it's only fitting to bring up some of the next royals who could be welcoming their own little one into the world. The first that comes to mind, of course, is Prince William and his beautiful wife, Kate Middleton.

It seems the Duchess of Cambridge has been in the headlines frequently when it comes to pregnancy. Perhaps if it's said often enough, it will eventually come to fruition, but the latest report says the popular couple will wait until 2013 before embarking on that adventure.

An unnamed royal source told The Mail last month, " Realistically, there is not going to be time for a baby and they have said they are in no hurry. The source added, "There is no urgent need for an heir - we already have two."

The most-watched royal couple is said to be focusing on the Queen's diamond jubilee, and the prince is currently on a six-week tour of duty in the Falkland Islands. They have a busy year ahead, with plans to visit Singapore, Malaysia and the Solomon Islands as part of the global tour to celebrate the Queen's 60th year on the throne.

For those patiently waiting for pregnancy news involving Princess Kate, it looks like you'll have to wait awhile longer.

Another royal couple who could announce an impending little prince or princess, is Prince Albert and his new wife, Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock. The couple married just this past summer, transforming the athlete into the Princess of Monaco.

The bride is 33 years old, and Albert is two decades older. The odds are, the pair will be the next in line to become Royal parents.
