Many deny this reality happens in the great ol' USA everyday. Its a powerful movie filled with ranging emotions and an awesome cast. I hope people realize the talent instead of feedn into the negative stereotypes like some posted here.

  31 million is till more than 1.8 million. This is It was still in rotation. There were other films that opened or had been still in the theaters. Precious may have a dropoff as other films open too. If its only in 18 theaters of course its going to have a better monetary average. the Blind Side comes out next Friday. It will be better than Precious

  I myself would not go to see this picture as I am a victim of child sexual abuse. I would urge people to see this film to see how kids caught in this situation fare. I was isolated by the abuser and had parents that were not there to protect me.
