Police: Leslie Carter's Death Linked to Overdose, Drug Use
Leslie Carter, the sister of singers Nick and Aaron Carter, overdosed and was under the influence of several drugs before her untimely death Tuesday, according to police reports obtained by ABC News.
Three drugs were found near the 25-year-old aspiring singer's body including Olanzapine (used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder), Cyclobenzaprine (a muscle relaxant) and Alprazolam (used to treat anxiety or panic disorders) -- commonly referred to as Xanax.

The report also states that Leslie's stepmother, Ginger, told authorities that Leslie had "a long history of mental illness and was on medication for her depression."
Ginger told police that Leslie appeared depressed Monday morning, and fell in the shower. She helped her stepdaughter lie down and later in the afternoon she found that Leslie was not breathing. After Leslie's father, Robert, tried to perform CPR on her, Ginger called 911.

According to the reports, Ginger Carter also appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both. "Ginger had slurred speech, pinpoint pupils, glassy eyes and kept falling asleep," the report states. She told officials that she had taken "five to six pills for her depression."
In a statement, the Carter family has requested " the utmost privacy during this difficult time."
Leslie Carter, who appeared on the family's 2006 reality show House of Carters, was married in 2008, and gave birth to daughter Alyssa Jane Ashton last April 1.
