Pippa Middleton, Princess Kate's younger single sister, is now said to be dating an old flame and long time pal, George Percy. Percy is a mega-rich earl whose home is the castle that was used as Hogwarts in the "Harry Potter" films and he's also heir to the Duke of Northumberland.
Wow. We think it sounds like something that only movies and dreams are made of! The "Prince of the North ," as he's called by friends, will inherit one of Britain's richest and grandest dukedoms, that includes the famous Alnwick Castle, and he's worth nearly a half billion dollars.
The couple is said to have been friends since their days at Edinburgh University, and the 27-year-old Percy came to the rescue when 28-year-old Middleton was going through a difficult breakup with banker Alex Loudon last fall. Last summer the pair spent a weekend in Spain with friends but insisted the jaunt was strictly platonic. The Sun reported that it became romantic during a New Year's Eve bash that was thrown by the Middleton family .
A source close to the couple said, "George is very smitten and completely in love with her. It looks like the Middleton sisters will be completing the double before too long."
Being friends first can often be the key to making a marriage work, and we think there's a good chance that Pippa could be following in the footsteps of her big sister sometime in the not-so-far future. If the couple were to marry, she would also become Duchess, just like Kate!
The younger Middleton's former beau, Loudon , was also quite the catch but he doesn't quite compare to Percy, the "Earl of Hogwarts." With Percy at her side, it's likely that Pippa will forget all about her relationship with Loudon.
The 31-year-old banker wasn't happy about being in the spotlight, and his family didn't consider Middleton as wife material. She may have been heartbroken for a time, but it sounds like the "Prince of the North" could be the socialite's real life Prince Charming, as well as the perfect revenge against the snobbery of Loudon's well to do family.
