  They do have a point. Graphic artists have a responsibility to ensure that any material used is either properly paid-for or is royalty-free. When photographing an item for a website, catalog, or other promotional venture, any sample items used in that photograph to enhance the product must also be carefully researched. This includes movies displayed on a TV screen.
