Pete Wentz and Joe Biden go way back.

In light of Barack Obama's victory, the Fall Out Boy rocker, 29, has posted a photo of the senator holding him when he was nearly 3 years old. Wentz's mother Dale (right) was one of Biden's legislative assistants at the time.

The photo was taken at a wedding for Wentz's aunt, who also worked for Biden.

"Mom and I met in Washington when we were both legislative assistants to Sen. Biden, when he was in his first term [1972-78]," Wentz writes on his Web site. "We started out as friends and the rest is history."

He then jokes, "Wow, I'm like the same height still!"

Wentz, an Obama supporter, said he become so active in politics
"because my parents met working for Biden."

"They met on the campaign, so they have this particular affection for Joe," he told the Associated Press on Election Day. "He came to their wedding. If it weren't for Joe Biden, I would not exist as a human being."
