Pete Wentz Lashes Out At Ashlee Simpson Pregnancy Rumors

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ashlee Simpson may be engaged, but if she is pregnant, it is news to her fiance.

Rocker Pete Wentz told MTV News in an e-mail, he wasn't aware his bride-to-be is with child.

"There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood," he wrote. "This is all news to me."

In the e-mail, Wentz seemed outraged over the pregnancy report, which Us Weekly and OK! magazine claimed to break news of last week. Us Weekly even published another "Ashlee is pregnant" story, earlier today.

"I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover," Wentz e-mailed. "I mean really, this is crazy…I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Ashlee and Pete became engaged last week after dating for almost two years.

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged," Simpson wrote in a post on FriendsorEnemies.com. "Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us."

    I totally agree with Pete!! I mean if they were pregnant it doesn't have to be any ones buisness but they're own. I feel so bad for famous people some times because they have no privacy. Anyway, I wish them the best of luck in everything! = )
