Paul Newman May Have 'Weeks To Live'

NEW YORK, New York -- "Weeks to live" - that is the latest reported prognosis for 83-year-old movie star Paul Newman, who is rumored to be battling cancer. New reports from the Daily Mail claim that Newman has allegedly finished chemotherapy and told his family he wants to die at home.

He was photographed leaving a New York hospital in a wheelchair on Friday.

"Paul didn't want to die in the hospital," a source told the Daily Mail. "[Wife] Joanne [Woodward] and his daughters are beside themselves with grief."

"The word they've been given is that he has only a few weeks to live," the source added.

Newman has starred in such films as "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "The Sting," and "Cool Hand Luke." He won an Oscar for his work in Martin Scorsese's "The Color of Money" in 1986.

  • His life may end but his celebrity status will shine on forever, when one door closes another one opens and he will be starting a new chapter that we can only dream of. Take wings and fly ~~

When he was young he was on the best looking men I had ever seen. As he has grown old he is still gorgeous.

Another one of the stars from my youth dying. It is so sad that we have to lose another one of Hollywoods shining stars but a great loss for humanity. Paul was one of the most generous, humble and classy people on earth. He quietly gave billions to help others through his Newmans Own business and never boasted or attracted headlines for it. Just quietly did the right thing. God Bless Him.

He's accomplished a great deal in those 83 years. When it's his time to go, I hope it's as peaceful as possible for him.

This is so sad, but it is important to remember that 83 years is a very long time and he lived quite the life. It's not good to focus on the death and forget the life that proceeded it.
