As the stunningly beautiful daughter of the late Michael Jackson, you might think that Paris Jackson has nothing to worry about. However, at only 14-years-old, the up and coming actress has had her share of troubles. Who can forget her haunting speech at her father's 2009 funeral?
When she was only 11 she gave us a window into an MJ we'd never knew with the heartbreaking words: "I just want to say, ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. I just want to say I love him so much." It was the first tear-filled public appearance for the little girl who grew up with her face shrouded by masks and scarves along with her brothers, Prince, 15, and Blanket, 10.
There is no one more qualified to re-introduce Paris to the world than Oprah Winfrey. Despite struggles with the OWN Network, the matriarch of talk TV scored a big win earlier this year with her moving conversation with Bobbi Kristina Brown. Krissy was mourning the recent loss of her mother, the legendary Whitney Houston. The Paris interview took place at Katherine Jackson's new home where she lives with her son Michael's children.
It was touching to see Paris and her grandmother together. Paris, a statuesque beauty, came across confident and self assured. Indeed she has had to experience much more than the average 14-year-old. She has security that follows her everywhere she goes. The teen also revealed that her brother Prince is going through a moody phase but she is still incredibly close to Blanket.
The biggest revelation in the heartfelt exchange was that Paris has been the victim of bullies in school and online. As Oprah herself said in the conversation, "I would think that everyone would want to be your friend." Apparently this is not the case. According to Paris, the girls talk behind her back saying all sorts of vicious and hurtful things.
Paris can take heart in the fact that she's not the only celeb who has been bullied. Her own father was bullied about his appearance. Khloe Kardashian Odom confesses that she was bullied growing up. She even cut her ties to the animal rights org PETA last year for bullying her sister Kim Kardashian. Superstar Lady Gaga was once bullied and tossed into a trash can.
During the interview, Oprah asked Paris if she thought that the other girls were jealous of her and Paris answered, "Yes." Well, the bullies can get ready to become even more jealous when Paris makes her big screen debut. Her upcoming film is named " Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys."
Paris' tactic for dealing with the bullies is to keep her distance. She explained that once she feels that someone is fake, she stays away. She's a smart girl!
