LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After reports surfaced on Friday claiming that Pamela Anderson was allegedly over $1 million in debt with construction costs, the blonde bombshell is responding to reports about her financial woes.

"These reports are crazy and I cannot believe this has become a media issue," Pamela said in a statement released to Access Hollywood. "I am actually touched at how much concern has been expressed for me over this.

"It is true that I am in a dispute with some of the contractors working on my home. This is because after paying millions of dollars to build the house I continue to get bills from the contractors. My lawyers are reviewing the work done to see if the bills are fair. If they are, they'll be paid," Pamela's statement continued. "If they aren't, they won't be. I am just sorry this contractor went to the press, especially when I was working out of the country. I did not speak publicly about this before because I had no desire to embarrass anyone who worked on my home and whose work and bills are now part of arbitration.

The actress also addressed reports that she is dealing with tax payment issues.

"On a separate issue, mistakes may have been made in calculating taxes owed and we are now in the process of ensuring that any taxes owed are paid. Unfortunately there are tax liens," She said. "However, I'm financially secure and I want to thank everyone who expressed concern for me based on these rumors."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Pamela reportedly owes back state taxes to the tune of $252,360, county records obtained by Access showed.

Additionally, Jay Bruder, boss of Bruder Construction, filed a $674,043 lien against the star for "labor and materials and subcontractors to remodel main house, construct swimming pool [and] construct foundations for guest house," the lien claim reads.

Boulevard Management also filed a lien for $87,696 for unpaid bills and interest, and for construction work. Powerfull Electric filed a lien for $83,732. And finally, Pacific Coast Ironworks filed a lien for $29,015.

When contacted by Access Hollywood on Monday, Bruder had no comment.

    I'm sure she has bills just like everyone else. Proportionately, her debt to income ratio is probably better than most. But things are tight all over. I just wish she'd do a good TV show again or at least some commercials or something.
