BURBANK, Calif. -- As I've done every six months in this column, I'm going to play tribute to the long-lost Billboard charts category of Hot Club / Dance music, and list out the remixes which I think deserve the most kudos for the first half of 2009.

Some of you will love that I'm writing about this for Access Hollywood. Others of you will be bored out of your minds. If this seems like Greek to you, download a few of these tracks from MasterBeat.com and use at the gym. I guarantee your workouts will be at least ten times better.

It's hard to ever choose just ten, but below are my choices (along with several honorable mentions...)

1) "When Love Takes Over," David Guetta feat. Kelly Rowland
If 2008 was the year of Ralphi Rosario, then 2009 is the year for David Guetta. This DJ is on fire - both with his production work and live sets. And, hands down, he has the most infectious song of the summer on his hands! Beyonce who? Watch them perform it live on a TV show in France a few weeks ago, HERE.
(or, they performed this song on "So You Think You Can Dance" last night as well! But there was more energy in the French TV performance)

2) "Everytime We Touch," David Guetta
I might even like this song more than "Love." Doesn't use keyboards quite as well as the aforementioned, but the beats are more infectious.

3) "Boom Boom Guetta" and "I Gotta Feeling" (David Guetta remixes and DJ Clubplay mix [for "Feeling"]), The Black Eyed Peas
Yep, Guetta rounds out the top 3 for me. He was hand-picked by the Peas to be their primary remixer for their first two singles (for what's arguably the album of this summer). If you can't get enough "I'm so 3008...," try the remixed version.

4) "Drop A House" (DJ DeMarko, Razor n' Guido and Wayne G remixes), DJ DeMarko feat. Amanda Leigh West
The Maya house classic gets reworked 11 years later with a new vocalist. The results are outstanding.

5) "Magnificent" (Dave Aude remix), U2
I haven't heard a U2 remix I've liked since Johnny Vicious did "Where The Streets Have No Name." Dave Aude, thanks for ending that for me.

6) "Long Distance" (Jody den Broeder mix), Brandy
"Departed (Right Here)" is more of a 2008 track, but Brandy's 2nd (widely unheard) single is just as strong. And more fun, when you can dance to it!

7) "Sing" (Digital Dog and Jody den Broeder mixes), Wynonna
Who knew Wynonna could sound so good as progressive house? I mean... I always had my hunches, but this song could be a runner up for most heard on the dancefloors in summer 2009.

8) "Beautiful U R" (Jody den Broeder mix), Deborah Cox
Would it be summer without a new Deborah remix? There are many mixes of this one, but the 'new in '09' den Broeder one is by far the strongest.

9) "Beautiful" (Tracy Young and Mike Rizzo mixes), Akon
Why should Akon let Lady GaGa have all of the fun? Tracy and Mike take the Top 40 king to the next level of danceability.

10) "The Fear" (Stonebridge Mix), Lily Allen
The most understated song of the year - it's not a big dance floor anthem, by any means, but the subtle and haunting Stonebridge treatment make this one a house classic.

Honorable Mentions:
11) "Battlefield (Bimbo Jones remix), Jordin Sparks
12) "I Do Not Hook Up (Bimbo Jones remix), Kelly Clarkson
13) "Us Against The World" (Jason Nevins mix), Christina Milian
14) "Be Alright" (Offer Nissim Forever Tel Aviv Club Mix), Kristine W
15) "Please Don't Leave Me" (Digital Dog Mix), Pink
16) "Poker Face" (Dave Aude Mix), Lady GaGa
17) "Halo" (Dave Aude mix), Beyonce
18) "Bottle Pop" (Dave Aude mix), The Pussycat Dolls
19) "Just Dance / Don't Stop Believin'" (mash up), Lady GaGa vs. Journey
20) "If U Seek Amy" (Junior Vasquez mix), Britney Spears

I also want to hear remixes of Kelly Rowland's second single, since it's a pretty love song & would be an awesome remix that she sings by herself. As well as, Eminem's "Beautiful" his should be a slow remix with the background music with a Britney Spears' "Cinderella" feel to it, since that is what would sound best.

Another thing I would love to hear a remix of "It's Alright, It's Okay" by Ashley Tisdale, why I haven't heard one yet, I don't know. Another one, I would like them to try to do is, Daughtry "No Surprise". It's a good soild rock song and you can do a good dance mix or two under it.

I want to hear a remix to Kristinia Debarge's "Goodbye" and Britney's Song "Radar", and a new rock remix to Ciara's song "Pucker Up" and the Backstreet Boys first single so it doesn't sound so stupid as an autotune& more like the songs "Welcome to the world", " N.Y.C.",
