A source tells Australia's Daily Telegraph that guests thought they were attending a Fourth of July barbecue.
The two tied the knot instead.

Newton-John, 59, and Easterling, 49, were almost forced to cancel the ceremony after a brush fire erupted in a nearby canyon, the paper claims.
"John said they could wait a few days, or change the venue, but Olivia was determined that nothing was going to interfere with her special day," the source told the paper.
Calls to Newton-John's manager were not returned.
Newton-John and Easterling, who are both environmentalists, began dating last year.
The singer, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 - divorced her first husband, Matt Lattanzi, in the mid-1990s after he had a fling.
In 2005, her boyfriend of nine years, Patrick McDermott went missing on a fishing trip off the California coast.
Last year Newton-John revealed that her daughter, Chloe, was suffering from anorexia.
Chloe last appeared on the MTV reality show Rock the Cradle.
