LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Nicole Kidman & "Slumdog Millionaire" star Rubina Ali are costaring in a new French spot for Schweppes drinks.

In the bizarre commercial, Nicole and Rubina are seen in traditional Indian garb wandering around a dock near a lake. They affectionately hold hands and touch each other's faces, until Nicole spots a handsome young man, who she seduces with her eyes and the unzipping of her dress. Nicole is next seen in an apartment retreating to a bedroom, but not with the young man, instead she chugs from a Schweppes bottle and looks at the camera, saying, " Hey! What did you expect?"

According to Britain's The Daily Mail, Rubina's father, Rafiq Ali, said his daughter made more money on the three-day commercial shot than anything she's ever done - including her work on the Oscar-winning movie which made her a star.

"The money she's receiving for doing this ad is more than the total she got for 'Slumdog,'" Ali told the paper.

I think it is a shame that these cute kids of Slumdog fame have returned to India to live in squalor. It shames me as an American that we can use these childern to make Oscar worthy films and sell products here in the states but we turn a blind eye in helping them get out of the very slums that have made them famous. The "Slumdog" childern deserve to live like the true Hollywood
