Nicole Kidman: "I've Explored Strange Sexual Fetish Stuff"

Ever wondered about Nicole Kidman's love life?

British GQ did, and got some eye-opening answers for its December cover story.

"I've explored obsession," Kidman, 42, tells the magazine, as reported in the UK's Daily Mail. "I've explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I've explored strange sexual fetish stuff," she confesses without going into specifics.

Adds the ex-wife of Tom Cruise, "I've explored the mundane aspect of marriage and monogamy."

Not so mundane?

Her present marriage to country star Keith Urban, which she describes as "incredibly raw, incredibly dangerous... you're very much out at sea. You're exposed. You could drown."

The Oscar-winning actress (who gave birth to her daughter with Urban, Sunday Rose, last year) is also frank about her initial rise to fame and its relation to her first husband, whom she married in 1990 and divorced in 2001. (They have two adopted children together.)

"I became famous very young," she says. "I became very famous because I was the wife of
somebody."

Ironically, her then-agents begged her not to become Mrs. Cruise, insisting it would ruin her career. "I was like, 'But I'm in love.' All I know is that I wasn't someone interested in fame."

But Kidman won't reveal anything more about her time with Cruise -- ever.

"I want to honor that marriage for what it was, and there is nothing I would go into about that. I have never discussed the intricacies of it and I never will," she insists.

How serious is she about this claim? "I burnt most of my journals after I remarried," she says.

Kidman -- who married Urban in 2006 -- next appears with Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz (another Tom Cruise ex) and Fergie in the musical Nine.
