We've got a new mission for the Terminator..... locate missing actor Nick Stahl! The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that the former teen star was reported missing by his estranged wife earlier this week.
"I can confirm that he's missing," LAPD spokeswoman Rosario Herrera states. "And, as of now, he is still missing."
According to reports, the "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" actor has been missing since Wednesday, May 9. His wife, Rose, filed an official missing persons report with LAPD on Monday.
The couple has been separated since January 2012. In her court papers, Rose requested that her husband receive only supervised visitation with their 2-year-old daughter, Marlo, and that the actor be required to pass drug and alcohol testing prior to seeing the girl.
The actor has been working consistently in film and television since achieving success at the age of 13 in the Mel Gibson film, "The Man Without a Face" in 1993. He moved on to more grown up roles in success came with the high profile role of John Connor in the third installment of the "Terminator" franchise and his role as Ben Hawkins in the HBO series "Carnivale".
With the news of his disappearance, the star joins a very exclusive group of stars who have gone missing. Here are a few of the stars who have reported missing:
Orlando Brown: The "That's So Raven" star got tongues wagging when he was reported missing in 2008. After achieving significant success in the late 1990s and early 2000s in an array of roles in "Major Payne", "The Proud Family" and "Family Matters", his career had gone into a post-teen years slowdown. The actor would ultimately return home safely stating, "I felt a little lost and needed to get away. It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to be alone."
Mindy McCready: It has been a rough few years for the former country star. After a very public battle with drugs and alcohol that included several arrests, the star seemed to finally be getting her act together in 2010 following a stay in "Celebrity Rehab". Things fell apart again in late 2011 when she and her son, Zander, were reported missing after she left with the boy following a scheduled visitation. They were ultimately found safely several days later.
Andrew Koenig: Not all missing persons stories have a happy ending. The actor, who was best known for his role as "Boner" on the hit ABC sitcom "Growing Pains", was reported missing by his family in 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia after missing a flight back to the United States. His body was found in a remote part of a Vancouver park after taking his own life.
