"I have never heard her sing," he told Usmagazine.com at a Jetblue Airways and VH1 Save the Music Foundation event in Hollywood on Wednesday.
His girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo couldn't quite place the Scottish singing sensation -- whose performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" has gotten more than 200 million views on YouTube -- either.

"We have never heard of her," she told Us.
The couple might have a chance to get to know Boyle. The 48-year-old -- who was favored to win Britain's Got Talent but came in second place after a shocking upset at the May finale -- has been invited to perform on the upcoming U.S. edition of the show, America's Got Talent, which premieres on June 23. She is also in talks with Simon Cowell to begin recording her first album.

When told that Boyle's voice is amazing, Lachey said to Us, "Then we would probably buy her album!"
