Want to see Amber Portwood's life in an Indiana prison? It looks like you'll get your chance: MTV is planning to showcase the troubled "Teen Mom" star's life behind bars in the upcoming special "Amber Behind Bars: An MTV Special" scheduled to air on Oct. 9.
"In this exclusive half-hour interview, Dr. Drew sits down with Portwood inside the Rockville Correctional Facility for an intimate discussion about what life has been like behind bars, the status of her relationship with her daughter Leah, ex-boyfriend Gary, and her family, and her hopes for the future," MTV wrote in a press release.
The reality star went to prison earlier this summer to serve five years in connection with a felony drug arrest. Her troubles were well documented on the hit MTV show, but she expressed hopes that prison would get her on the right path.
It might not be the most glamorous post-reality life, but it's real - and MTV sure knows how to exploit a sad situation. It got us wondering, though: What are the rest of the "Teen Mom" stars planning to do now that the show is over?
The mom of Bentley broke it off with her longtime boyfriend, Kyle King, recently - but she's already giving another Kyle a go! The reality star went to Texas to see ex-bf Kyle Regal, sparking rumors of a rekindled relationship.
"I think I'm more terrified of going to Dallas tomorrow than i was to turn 21," she tweeted.
As for those spinoff show rumors? Bookout is still denying the reports.
"DO NOT believe everything u read, well actually anything unless its coming from me. #fakestories #spinoff #parenting #life," she tweeted.
Twenty bucks says she is getting a spinoff - MTV can't be ready to let go of its popular "Teen Mom" cast quite yet.
Farrah Abraham was the "Teen Mom" the fans loved to hate on the show. The culinary student and recent book author hinted at her own spinoff show, but it turns out it won't be on MTV.
"Yes, a spin-off is in the future, and I'm very hopeful that it will be with a great channel that everyone will grow with me and love," she said in a recent vlog.
Maybe MTV pulled the plug after she started talking about it so quickly. Will any other channel want her reality show? Stay tuned.
"Teen Mom" Catelynn ignited a bit of controversy earlier this month when TMZ published photos of her taking hits from a bong. However, bong rips are hardly the only thing she's doing: Lowell and boyfriend Tyler Baltierra are reportedly getting - you guessed it - their own spinoff.
The show will reportedly follow the couple while they do "all of their wedding planning leading up to the big day," according to Lowell's dad. Again, MTV hasn't confirmed - but this is one spinoff show we'd actually like to see.
Will you watch Amber Portwood's MTV special?
