Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channels Worldwide, made the announcement Tuesday, saying, "The talent behind Hannah Montana has made it a true global sensation and cultural icon not just on television, where it topped the ratings on Disney Channels around the globe, but as a chart-topping music act and beyond."
Hannah Montana, which also stars Cyrus' dad Billy Ray Cyrus, is the No. 1 basic cable series among kids 6 to 11.

"It has become part of the global cultural lexicon for kids, parents and families everywhere," Marsh said.
Marsh also announced that The Suite Life on Deck, a spin-off of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody starring twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse, will get a second season.
