Molly Sims has come out swinging in defense of her friend Josh Duhamel.

Sims, 35, acted alongside Duhamel on the NBC series Las Vegas, which ended its five-year run in 2008. The actress spoke on E!'s Daily 10 about her married costar's alleged one-night stand with an Atlanta stripper.

"It's absolutely not true," she says.

"I've worked with him for five years. You know, listen. Don't believe everything you read. Look at what's going on in so many other reality-based things in the world right now," she continues. "Someone's trying to make a lot of money."

Sims has remained in touch with Duhamel during his crisis: "We emailed yesterday," she says. "Jon is a great guy and it's sad cause his wife [Fergie] is amazing, too."

However they're feeling, Duhamel, 37 and Fergie, 34, have been spending some time apart. The Black Eyed Peas songstress has been all smiles performing in Europe over the past several days. Her embattled husband is back in Atlanta (where he is accused of having a torrid night with exotic dancer Nicole Forrester, 34) shooting his comedy Life As We Know It.

In a Nov. 5 statement to Entertainment Tonight, Fergie dismissed the reports. "These allegations are nonsense," she said.

    What idiots! Fergie is beautiful and if you ever listened to her talk, she is a wonderful, sweet and generous person! Sometimes I wish that these critical jerks weren't able to hide behind the anonymity of their computers. Their lives must suck so bad that all they have is a heart full of hate.

    How the hell would she know? If it wasn't true they wouldn't make such a big deal about it. If I had to look at Fergie's deranged plastic mask of a methed out face, I'd be sniffing around strippers too.
