Miranda Lambert will produce a new dramedy for NBC inspired by her unusual childhood, Deadline reports.

The series will focus on a couple running a successful detective agency while also raising two teenagers.

Lambert's father, Rick Lambert, was a retired police officer who turned to private investigation in partnership with his wife, Bev, who will serve as a consultant on the series.

ABC Family was originally producing the project last year with a different writer. The Playboy Club creator Chad Hodge has since taken over scripting duties. Terra Nova's Aaron Kaplan, Hodge and Lambert will all serve as executive producers along with Lambert's manager, Marion Kraft.
