Mindy McCready Heads To Rehab

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Mindy McCready is the latest celebrity to check into a rehab facility, according to a report from People.

The country singer was taken to the emergency room in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 16, the hospital confirmed to the magazine. And now, according to her rep, she has been admitted to an extended-care rehab facility.

"Mindy McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center," the star's rep told People. "Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer-term and broader-based treatment."

The rep has asked that people leave the embattled star alone.

"To her credit, she has entered into an extended-care facility where she will receive the care needed," says her rep. "And for the moment we ask that everyone respect her privacy."

McCready was arrested last month and charged with violating her probation.
