Miley Cyrus has had her crazy moments, but we think the critics have gone a little too far with these "anorexic" rumors.
Over the weekend, the singer/actress tweeted a picture of herself trying to resist fast food. "I can't eat it. So I'm just gonna smell the s**t out of it! My mouth is literally watering." This tweet sparked rumors that she was starving herself to stay thin.
Miley smacked down those rumors by crediting her gluten-free diet for her recent weight loss. She tweets, "For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway! everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, physical and mental health is amazing! U won't go back!"
Whether "too fat" or "too thin," Miley just can't win with her critics.
Miley's weight really seems to be a catch 22. A few months ago, critics were complaining that she was too fat. Now that she's dropped a few pounds, some people think she's too thin, and they assume that she's starving herself.
Miley has a toned and fit Pilates body.
In recent weeks, pictures have surfaced all over the net of Miley coming out of her Pilates classes, and she's been looking lean but toned. And her skin has a healthy glow of someone who has been exercising and eating right.
Pilates requires a ton of core strength. If she was really starving herself, then she wouldn't be able to last through these workouts.
The Gluten-Free diet can be a healthy way to live.
The gluten-free diet is not for everyone, but those with gluten sensitivities experience tremendous health benefits by cutting gluten out of their diets. Just look at Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1 men's tennis player and reigning Wimbledon champion.
What's wrong with avoiding fast food?
Critics assumed the worst when she tweeted about how difficult it was to avoid fast food. But given how unhealthy these foods can be, is it such a bad thing that she chose to deny her fast food cravings?
If Miley starts avoiding healthy foods, then we'll be worried. But Miley's loved ones have her back and will vouch for the fact that she is eating properly. As she tweeted to her sister Noah, "love u noie! U saw how much I ate today at Easter lunch but all of it was healthy and even more fulfilling! Health is happiness!"
Should critics be worried about Miley's recent weight-loss? Or are they going too far with these anorexic rumors?
