The cover girl, 45, also comments on the public's nonstop obsession with her clothes. "People have a right to their opinions, particularly when you're the First Lady; you're representing the nation," she reasons. "So I can't be surprised that people are interested. But I've tried to be at peace with the choices that I make first, and then be open to everyone else's reflection."

"I have always tried to put my kids first, and then . . . put myself a really close second, as opposed to fifth or seventh. MWhat really disgusts me is that I see a few comments regarding her outfit when there is a magazine designer on set who picks the cover outfits, not michelle. Her words are positive and she is positive person in general. If people can find nothing better to nit pick about outside of clothing I consider that to be a job well done on her part.
