Paris Jackson, the late Michael Jackson's daughter, has been all over the Internet lately, tweeting like crazy about the saga unfolding between her aunts, uncles and grandmother. And now her older brother Michael Jackson, Jr., more commonly known as Prince, has backed her up. What would Michael Sr. think of the family drama playing out so publicly?
The Jacksons Are Allegedly Fighting About Michael's Money
It's difficult to decipher the truth from the rumors in the situation. But during the course of the past week, reports surfaced that Katherine Jackson, the children's grandmother and guardian since the King of Pop's death, was being held away from the children against her will.
Today Katherine came out saying she was not forced to stay anywhere. But in the meantime, she has temporarily lost custody of the kids. And now T.J. Jackson, Tito's 34-year-old son, has been granted temporary guardianship and has petitioned the court for permanent custody. All of this has been taking place amidst rumors that the Jackson clan has been fighting over Michael's fortune, which was left completely to Katherine and the kids.
Paris Jackson Tweets About Her Family Problems
All week long Paris has been very vocal on Twitter about her issues with the family and with her missing grandma. The first was posted on July 22, reading, "yes, my grandmother is missing. i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now." She followed that up with a post including a security phone number for anyone having information about Kathrine's whereabouts.
She later wrote, "8 days and counting. something is really off, this isn't like her at all... i wanna talk directly to my grandmother!!<|3" Paris also retweeted her cousin T.J's tweet that read, "@ParisJackson I know it's completely unfair for them to do this to you and your brothers. We will keep trying. I love you." This morning when Kathrine returned apparently safe and sound, Paris tweeted, "grandma's here ! #thankyougod <33."
Prince Jackson Speaks Out After His Grandmother's Return
During this time Paris' brother, Prince, has been keeping mum, but he broke his long silence on his Twitlonger account about the situation. At one point he stated, "As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways." He then posted a screen shot of a text message he sent to his family demanding to speak to his grandmother with a reply attributed to his Aunt Janet that said, "Don't let them pls."
Michael Jackson Would Probably Not Approve
But what would Michael think of all this? This was a man who kept his children's faces covered by masks and cloths for many years to shield them from publicity. He is most likely rolling over in his grave about his kids and siblings airing their dirty laundry in the public eye.
And clearly the King of Pop would not have condoned his sister Janet's tactics when she allegedly slapped Paris and tried to take away her cell phone. But most likely Michael would never have allowed his kids to have Twitter accounts and mobile phones creating the potential for so much media exposure.
