Given the current economic crisis,
Michael Douglas says now is a better time than ever to make a sequel to his 1987 hit
Wall Street.
"It will be really fun and, it's a perfect time," he said on Wednesday's
Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Oliver Stone -- who directed the original drama -- has signed on again to helm the sequel, which has the working title
Wall Street 2.
"They had another title,
Money Never Sleeps, and then
Oliver Stone , who directed the first one, read the new script and said I want to do it and we're going to call it
Wall Street 2," Douglas said.
See how closely these stars resemble the real-life people they play on the big screenThe sequel will follow Douglas' character Gekko, who was a symbol of Wall Street corruption during the boom era of the 1980s.
"It starts up a couple years ago. Gordon Gekko has just got out of jail, and we kind of deal with all the issues that are going on now," said Douglas, who won a Best Actor Oscar for his role more than 20 years ago. "It's an excellent script. I'm really excited about it."

Shia LaBeouf is in talks to costar with Douglas, according to
Variety.
On DeGeneres' show, Douglas was mum about casting, but promised, "There's going to be some exciting casting news coming up in the next couple of weeks, which I can't say yet."
