Emmy Award-winning choreographer Mia Michaels has quit FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, Usmagazine.com has confirmed.

"I am officially an adoring fan of SYTYCD...Thank U for 5 wonderful yrs," Michaels, 43, Twittered Wednesday night. "To create moments and movement for the world to share with me was a gift...Thanks SYTYCD and look forward to what's ahead for me...lookout world!"

Earning an Outstanding Choreography Emmy Award in 2007, Michaels frequently appeared on the SYTYCD judging panel alongside permanent judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, who appears on the new cover of Us Weekly.

Michaels' announcement came mere hours after she appeared on a taped episode of SYTYCD, judging a set of season six hopefuls during the show's annual Las Vegas round.

The show's top 20 contestants will be revealed next Wednesday.

    Mia NO DON'T GO. I love all of you but you were my FAVORITE!!! This is very depressing. :( Ok those of you who will miss her, should we boycott the show to bring down ratings to make them get her back?? Mia, I wish you the best of luck!!!
